5th Graders to Learn On Board the USS Yorktown

Approximately 1,400 students and their teachers will participate in the standards-based, cross-curricular program from January 22 through March 4, 2009. During this time the students will spend a morning on the USS Yorktown immersed in WWII history and the science of abiotic and biotic elements found in our estuarine environment.
USS Laffey Closed for Repairs

Patriots Point staff is working to make some needed repairs to the USS Laffey. Due to this maintenance work, the ship is closed indefinitely to the public.
Patriots Point to host the 13th Annual Fourth of July Blast

Patriots Point remembers with Patriot Day Memorial

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will honor Patriot Day beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009 aboard the USS Yorktown. This reverent event will serve as a memorial to the 2,998 who lost their lives on that day as well as the more than 6,291 injured.
Veteran's Day Festivities begin early and last a full week at Patriots Point

Veteran’s Day festivities we have planned – they begin this weekend (November 7) and last through next Saturday, November 14. We’ve planned a rather large Living History Exhibit this weekend – with the vintage vehicles and re-enactors – a memorial dedication and curator program on property on Veteran’s Day, and a special recognition ceremony and brief for Veterans on Saturday with a “meet-and-greet” afterwards.
