Update on Status of the USS Laffey
May 04, 2010
After necessary repairs were made, the USS Laffey moved to South Carolina State Ports Authority (SPA) on January 7, 2010. Due to the extensive security requirements at SPA, the ship is not open for public visitation while moored at Veterans Terminal. Currently, we are assessing available space and carefully choosing the best place for the Laffey to call home at Patriots Point. We hope to have a decision by spring of this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but there are still great ships, memorials and museums to see here at Patriots Point.
