Black History Month Symposium

South Carolina Representative Lonnie Hosey will be the guest of honor at a symposium honoring the contribution of African-Americans in the Vietnam War. Sergeant Hosey served with the First Marine Division in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967. He was wounded twice and earned a Purple Heart medal and then spent 13 months in the Charleston Naval Hospital recovering from his bullet and shrapnel wounds. For the past 18 years, Representative Hosey has served the S.C. House of Representatives serving District 91 (Barnwell, Allendale and parts of Orangeburg).

The event is free and open to the public.
