Description
Green steel M1 helmet and green plastic helmet liner with leather and cloth netting. Helmet retains original green coloring on the inside, while the outside has oxidized and worn into a brownish-green. The lettering stamped on the outside back of the helmet liner indicates Chaplain James J. Doyle was issued the helmet, while the helmet itself reads 'Chaplain' across the back and has a white cross with rays of light painted on the front.
