Context
This tie clip was owned by Jay Smith, Supply Corps officer in charge of the ship's store aboard the USS Yorktown CVS-10 from 1968 to 1970. Smith had previously served on the USS Randolph (CVS-15) until its decommissioning, after which he was transferred to the USS Yorktown. Smith was the last USS Yorktown sailor to disembark from the ship after decommissioning.
