Join us for a FREE symposium on Thursday, December 3, 2015 featuring a panel of four Marine veterans who served in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War.

In “The Battle of Chosin Reservoir: Surrounded, Not Defeated,” these brave men will share what it was like to fight against overwhelming odds in extreme temperatures (as low as 40 degrees below zero) and the struggle to bring out their dead and wounded.

The Battle of Chosin Reservoir took place in November and December 1950 in North Korea when 25,000 Army soldiers and Marines were surrounded by approximately 150,000 Chinese forces.

This symposium is made possible by a gift from the SunTrust Foundation. Admission and parking will be free. The event will be held in Hangar Bay III on the USS Yorktown. In the event of cold weather, guests are advised to dress warmly.  Doors will open at 7 p.m..
