Flag Day Ceremony

This Saturday, June 14th,  the Knights of Columbus will celebrate Flag Day by holding a special ceremony on the Flight Deck of the USS YORKTOWN.  The ceremony will start at 9 a.m. and will last about 30 minutes.  It will include the Boy Scouts and Mt. Pleasant Councilman Mark Smith.

Councilman Smith will read a proclamation recognizing the 60th anniversary of the addition of “Under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance.   A flag will also be properly folded with the meaning of each of the folds explained.

Those who attend Saturday’s ceremony will be required to pay for admission to the museum and $5 parking.
