The 90-minute performances will start at 2 p.m and 7 p.m. inside the USS Yorktown's Smokey Stover Theater. Following the play, the cast will host a question & answer session. Those unable to reserve and print their ticket at home can call the museum directly at 843-884-2727 Monday through Friday between 8 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Inspired by the HBO documentary "Last Letters Home," and the "New York Times" op-ed article "The Things They Wrote," "Letters Home" reveals the humanity that lies within the ongoing wars of the Middle East. The show pairs real letters from the front lines with images and video taken directly from actual soldiers' blogs and social media pages. Audiences will hear written accounts of the most difficult times, including training, deployment, separation of family and loved ones, and combat.
