Medal of Honor Museum Update: The Medal of Honor Museum aboard the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will be temporarily closed January 19–21 as we complete exhibit enhancements, and will reopen to guests on Thursday, January 22. We appreciate your understanding as we enhance this visitor experience.
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is a proud sponsor of the Charleston County Public Library summer reading program. This year, readers who complete the child, teen, or adult program will receive free admission to Patriots Point on Library Day, September 24, 2022. From 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., Patriots Point and CCPL will team up to offer special activities including storytimes, hands-on history, and giveaways. Participants will be able to explore the USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, Medal of Honor Museum, and Vietnam Experience from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Visitors can also enjoy food trucks and explore CCPL's mobile library. CARTA will be offering free rides to Patriots Point for those with a Library Day ticket.
This event is also open to all visitors who purchase a general admission ticket to the museum.
