Lights on the Harbor: A Boat Parade Watch Party

On Saturday, Dec. 14, Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum and Live 5 News will host “Lights on the Harbor: A Boat Parade Watch Party” aboard the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Tickets cost $20 and will be available to purchase starting Friday, Nov. 22 on Patriot Point’s website www.patriotspoint.org.The event will be held rain or shine.

Patriots Point visitors will enjoy Christmas music and the best views of the Charleston Boat Parade from high above the harbor on the historic aircraft carrier Yorktown. Special Ops Events’ Top Shelf Catering will operate a cash bar.  All of the favorite holiday snacks and sweets will be available for purchase.

Children will have a chance to meet and pose for photos with Santa Clause and Patriots Point’s mascot Scrappy.  Access to the Yorktown flight deck will open at 6p.m.  The first boat of the parade is expected to pass by the ship at 6:20 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to dress warmly and bring their own seating. Coolers, food items and wagons will not be permitted on the ship.  Due to the uniqueness of the event, all ticket sales are final.
