During “Open Cockpit” days, guests are given the unique opportunity to climb or look inside many of the museum’s most historic aircraft, including the F-9 Cougar, S-3 Viking, H-3 Sea King, F-18 Hornet, and A-6 Intruder. Visitors will also have the chance to explore the H-1 Huey and CH-46 helicopters in the interactive Vietnam Experience Exhibit.
During this Open Cockpit Day we will also offer docent-guided tours of the USS Yorktown fo'c'sle. This area is not currently on tour, so this will be a great opportunity to see the anchor chains and other sites in fo'c'sle!
The cockpits and fo'c'sle will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
