Patriot Art Yorktown 2024

Art of Valor is an annual event hosted in partnership with the Patriot Art Foundation. Veterans are invited aboard the USS Yorktown for a day of watercolor painting instruction, a live painting demonstration, camaraderie, and more.

Painting Workshop | 10am

Thirty local veterans will be able to participate in a painting workshop led by renowned artist, Mary Whyte. This event will be live-streamed from the Yorktown to the The United States Army Museum in Fort Belvoir, VA and The National Veterans Memorial & Museum in Columbus, OH where veterans will also be participating in the event. All art materials, instruction and lunch are provided at no cost. Registration is required. 

Live Painting Demonstration | 1pm

Following the workshop, visitors are invited to watch a live painting demonstration from Mary Whyte in the Smokey Stover Theater.

Patriots Point will offer veterans and their immediate families free admission to the museum November 9 - 11 in recognition of their dedicated service and sacrifice.
