Remembering 9/11
Join us as we remember the day that changed America - September 11, 2001. The public is invited to gather at 8:30 a.m. beneath the flagpole in front of the museum gift shop for a brief service, including a moment of silence at 8:46 -- the moment the first plane struck the World Trade Center. There is no charge to attend this event. Also, museum visitors on that day can visit Hangar Bay III to view a short video remembering the day 13 years ago. The museum will make available flowers that guests can toss into the harbor in remembrance of a loved one and all who died. More details will be made available shortly.
