Veterans Day Celebration

The holiday celebration kicks off at 9:30 am Monday, November 11th in the Smokey Stover Theater on the Hanger Deck of the USS Yorktown. Bernice “Bee” Haydu, a WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilot) of WWII will be the guest speaker.

Also during the program, the US Postal Service will unveil its Medal of Honor stamp that goes on sale that day.

At 11 am the U.S. Naval Academy Women’s Glee Club will perform.

The celebration will continue when Patriots Point honors the museum’s five volunteers who are age 90 or above.

Veterans will be admitted free of charge on the holiday.
