Big Reveal at Patriots Point Friday, October 18

Date

Patriots Point is excited to welcome an element of entertainment and education the museum has never offered before.  On Friday, October 18th, at 11am in Hangar Bay 3 of the USS Yorktown, members of the media and public are invited be among the first to see and learn more about this latest addition.  The Patriots Point Development Authority Board and children from Gateway Academy Child Development Center in Mt. Pleasant will be in attendance.

“In an effort to make Patriots Point more engaging for young children, while at the same time preserve the rich history of the USS Yorktown, we developed what we know will be a hit among all the families who visit us,” Patriots Point Executive Director Mac Burdette said.  “We understand there’s a lot of competition for children’s attention these days and we are committed to making Patriots Point a place they want to visit year after year.  They are our future,” he added.

The addition is just one small piece of a $400,000 spending approval the Patriots Point Development Authority board made last year to improve the overall museum experience through a three-year master plan.
