More than 100 former shipmates of the USS Yorktown will gather at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum this weekend for the 66th Annual USS Yorktown CV-10 Association reunion. One of the highlights of the reunion, for attendees and museum visitors, is the “Meet and Greet” session that will take place on Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This special event provides an opportunity for Patriots Point visitors to get to know the actual heroes of The Fighting Lady and have them sign the commemorative poster provided at the event.
After the Meet & Greet, a "Life Onboard the Yorktown" presentation will be held in the Smokey Stover Theater. Two former shipmates from each of the three major U.S. conflicts in which the USS Yorktown served (WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War) will talk about their lives living on the aircraft carrier during that time. They will be available to answer any questions from the audience during this time. The event will last from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Both the “Meet & Greet” session and the "Life Onboard the Yorktown" presentation will be open to all visitors at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. Normal admission rates will apply.
