Das Boot Event At Patriots Point, 17-19 July

As part of the "do Deutsch" series of events on German culture and language organized by the German missions and the Goethe-Institut locations in the United States, the film Das Boot: 30th Anniversary Director's Cut and a combined guided submarine tour  will take place at Patriots Point on July 17th, 18th, and 19th. Each date a submarine tour of USS Clamagore (Guppy III diesel boat) will be conducted from 5:30pm - 6:30pm with showing of Das Boot starting at 7:15 PM. Tours with be conducted by submarine service veterans.

Das Boot Synopsis

At the height of WWII, a young submarine crew heads out to sea on a top-secret mission that all but ensures most will never make it home alive. Ordered to patrol the Atlantic and destroy an allied armada bringing supplies to Britain, these raw recruits must band together, bracing themselves against a depth-charge assault from an unseen enemy. Oscar ® - nominated director Wolfgang Petersen’s epic adventure deftly explores tension as pressure builds to an explosive climax, packing a visceral punch few movies can match.

This Movie is Rated R by the MPAA for violence and language, total showtime is 3 hours and 20 minutes. No children under the age of 17 will be admitted without an adult.  Seating is limited. No refunds.
