FREE Showing of "Life in A Jar" Play on Holocaust Remembrance Day

On May 2nd, Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum will be hosting a FREE showing of "Life in A Jar" play on Holocaust Remembrance Day. The play is centered around the remarkable life of Irena Sendler, a non-Jewish Polish woman who saved over 2,500 children from the Nazi death camps during World War II. "Life in A Jar" will take guests through the true incredible story about Irena Sendler and her network. Sendler went into the Warsaw Ghetto, convinced Jewish parents and grandparents to part with their children, and then found Polish families to adopt them so that they could avoid Nazi death camps. By making lists of the children's real names and burying them in jars so that she could later tell the children of their real identities once the war had ended.

The play will be performed aboard the USS Yorktown and tickets are available to reserve now by clicking here. Seating is limited as are tickets so please reserve yours ASAP. You can call to reserve at 843-884-2727 Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or simply click here. Seating for the play will begin at 6 p.m. on May 2nd. Guests are highly encouraged to arrive early and to be seated no later than 6:45 p.m.
