In conjunction with the Medal of Honor Convention to be held in Charleston 29 September to 03 October, there will be a Medal of Honor Invitational Golf Tournament to be held at the Grande Dunes Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, SC, on 20 September. Funds will be g0ing to support the Medal of Honor Convention and several education initiatives for local schools during the convention.
The tournament will be a chance for the public to play on a normally private course and it was awarded the "2009 National Golf Course of the Year” by The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGOA). The course is 18 holes, including seven dramatic holes along the Intracoastal Waterway. It was designed by Roger Rulewich and also listed as one of the "Top Ten New Courses to Play" by Golf Magazine in 2002.
