Great news! The Overnight program is returning to Patriots Point. Groups will have the chance to spend the night aboard the USS Yorktown (CV-10) and sleep in the same berthing areas as sailors in World War II.

The Yorktown's overnight program is more than 40 years old, the oldest in the country! School groups, scouts, youth groups, and more will soon have the chance to participate in the new Live Like a Sailor program.

"It's living history," said Sarah Edmiston, Overnight Program Director. "We really want to focus on the life of a sailor. The program has been designed so you're immersed in different areas of the ship."

During their stay, visitors will explore the USS Laffey destroyer, the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier, the Vietnam Experience exhibit, and Medal of Honor Museum.

"When you learn the stories of the men that were here, you can put yourself in their shoes," said Edmiston. "You can walk through where they would've worked and then you'll get to sleep where they slept. You really get to reflect on what that's like and it becomes a part of your life."

When you stay aboard, you receive VIP access to exclusive parts of the ship and have the chance to explore some areas not open to the public.

Groups are eager to reserve their spot in the revamped overnight program. We are putting the finishing touches on the program and expect to open booking soon. Keep an eye on PatriotsPoint.org, Facebook, and Instagram for more information and announcements.
