Mount Pleasant, S.C. –The Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from the travel website Tripadvisor.com.
The recognition is based on the consistent high reviews given by the museum’s visitors. This is the second year-in-row that the museum has received the award. It is currently ranked as the number one attraction in Mount Pleasant.
“The recognition means a lot to Patriots Point. It really reflects the hard work of all of our staff and volunteers,” said Executive Director Mac Burdette. “The history we share here is really special, and we will continue to work hard to make it better every day.”
Since opening in the Charleston Harbor, more than 9.2 million paid visitors have toured the Naval and Maritime Museum. This year the attraction has seen a six percent increase in ticket sales when compared to 2013.
