At just about noon on Wednesday, February 1, a family from Canandaigua, New York stepped up to the ticket window to purchase their tickets to visit Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum.  In town to visit one daughter and help their other daughter move here for school,  they noticed the beautiful weather thought it would be a great day to explore the museum.  What they didn’t know was that they were the 10 millionth paid visitors to make the visit!

Once they came aboard the USS Yorktown, they were greeted by a crowd of employees, volunteers, guests and members of the news media who were all there to witness this grand occasion.  The Kibler family was shocked, but excited to learn about the momentous occasion.  As the 10 millionth paid visitor, the family received a gift basket of prizes including a SpiritLine dinner cruise, an overnight stay at the newly-opened The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, a meal from Harbor Breeze, a Fly-In Helicopter tour, $200 worth of items from the museum gift shop, The Ship Store, and a year of free admission to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum.

Congratulations to Jim, Camille and Katie Kibler for being the 10 millionth visitors to our museum!  Patriots Point opened 41 years ago on January 3, 1976.  Now it's time for 10 million more!
