“We recognize that times are tough for many Americans – especially after the holiday season,” said Patriots Point Executive Director Mac Burdette. “Some families may not be able to afford to pay anything while others may have a limited amount they can dedicate to this purpose. That’s fine with us. ’Pay What You Can’ Weekend is our way to provide everyone with an opportunity to visit our museum regardless of their financial situation.”
Last year, Patriots Point hosted the first ‘Pay What You Can’ Weekend for South Carolina residents. This year, the museum expended on the offer and invited any and every one to visit regardless of where they call home.
Every ticket to the museum included the opportunity to explore three of the nation’s most historic vessels, 28 aircraft, the Medal of Honor Museum, Vietnam Naval Support Base and much, much more. Regular admission rates are $18 for adults and a parking fee of $5 per vehicle. As always, military in uniform and children under 6 are free.
