Today begins the 10th Youth Leadership Conference to be held onboard the USS Yorktown (CV-10) at Patriots Point. The conference on Yorktown began in 1999 and is sponsored by Patriots Point and the Military Order of the World Wars. Today seventy five rising high school seniors and juniors will arrive at lunch and depart on Friday at noon. They will be exposed to leaders from many backgrounds, military, television, police, business executives, college professors...some of the speakers this week include former Post & Courier Editor Dick Shredley, Bill Walsh (WCSC TV), MGen James Livingston, USMC (Ret), Medal of Honor recipient, and Colonel Quincy Collins USAF (Ret), Vietnam POW.
