Summertime and the living is easy!!!

Date

Our flight deck and parking lot continues to be filled with families vacationing from all over the United States and the world. Just this week I have talked to visitors from Scotland, France, Germany, Japan and South Africa. Even though school is out we still have had a few school groups aboard. Today we had a home school group from Dunwoody, Georgia, arrive to spend several nights and were scheduled to do our history/science program today and tomorrow our aviation merit badge class.

Dunwoody, Georgia, home school group on 10 July 2009.

Pictured above in front of our F-18  Hornet  (left to right) are Melissa Reeves, Suzannah Durand, Holly Reeves, Theresa Durand, Terri Reeves, Rosie Reeves and Michael Reeves, they learned about World War II naval aviation and about the war in the Pacific today. Michael's mother was a "Rosie the Riveteer" in World War II working for the Navy in Brunswick, Georgia.  As you can see they are having "Fun in the Sun" and learning something also, can you imagine?
