USS Yorktown Association to Host Second Annual 'Run for the Yorktown 5K'

This Saturday, the USS Yorktown Association will host their second annual Veterans Day 5K.

Last year, runners began the race with a bang as we fired an anti-tank gun at the starting line.  This year, the race will begin with a flyover by an AT-6 Texan Warbird.  The race will continue down Patriots Point Road, around Waterfront Park, and will finish on the Pier of the USS Yorktown.

The race begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and registration is available online at http://www.active.com/running/mount-pleasant-sc/run-for-the-yorktown-2012
