Context
Entering service with the US Navy in 1974, the Tomcat participated in the evacuation of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War after launching off the USS Enterprise (CVA(N)-65). The F-14A would remain a staple of the US Navy until replacement by the Boeing Super Hornet in 2006.
The Tomcat arrived at Patriots Point in 1995 and is on loan from the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.
