The plane has markings for the 'Navy,' 'CVSG-55,' 'VS-23,' and the bureau number '151657.'

Context
Built for the US Navy for anti-submarine warfare, Grumman introduced the Tracker in 1952. It would continue in operation with the Navy until replaced by the S-3 Viking in the mid-1970s.
The Tracker arrived at Patriots Point in 1987 and is on loan from the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.
