Description
A World War II US Naval aviator's summer flying suit made out of a khaki cotton-canvas material. The suit is collared with a pull tab zipper running from nape to crotch and a buckled belt around the waist. There are pockets on the left breast and above the cuffs on both pants legs.
Context
Worn by Lt. Joseph Rudolf Kristufek. Kristufek was a plank owner on the USS Yorktown (CV-10) and flew missions off the Yorktown as an Avenger pilot in Torpedo Squadron (VT-5) during World War II.
