Live Like A Sailor

Ever wonder what it's like to sleep on an aircraft carrier? Operation Overnight gives your group exclusive access to the USS Yorktown all night long! Sleep in the same berthing areas sailors once did and learn what life was like for Navy sailors. You'll walk among some of our military’s most notable airplanes, hear stories of heroism, and experience the WWII aircraft carrier like no other as you go behind the scenes to "Live Like a Sailor."

FAQs

Any group of 10 or more. Campers must be at least 7 years old.

You'll sleep where the sailors slept - in bunks on the USS Yorktown! Bunks are divided into male and female berthing areas. Groups must have the required number of male and female adults to accompany youth. Food is not permitted in the berthing quarters.

Ages 7-10: Each camper must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. 
Ages 11-17: Must have one adult leader/chaperone for every 10 campers.

1 Night - $85
2 Nights - $145
Pricing applies to all youth and adults participating in camping experience.

A $250 deposit is required to make a reservation. Reservations must be made at least 30 days before a visit.

Full payment is due no later than 45 days prior to the group’s arrival. 
Payments must be made in one transaction via credit card.

Cancellations within 72 hours of your visit are not eligible for a refund. 
Cancellations outside 72 hours are eligible for a refund; a processing fee of $30/person will be charged.

Meals are not included in the Operation Overnight program. Guests are welcome to bring their own food, order food for pick-up or delivery, or depart the ship and eat off-site. For meal planning recommendations, see our guide: 

Group arrivals are between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. We ask that all participants be available for a mandatory fire and safety drill at 8 p.m. during your arrival.
