In pursuit of the association's mission to educate and inspire patriotism across generations, the USS Yorktown CV-10 Association Scholarship Program is approaching its second year. The scholarship will be given to a Charleston Tri-County area student attending one of the following schools:

Berkeley Alternative Hanahan High School
Berkeley Middle College High School Stratford High School
Bishop England High School Timberland High School
Cane Bay High School
Charleston County
Academic Magnet High School Lincoln Middle/High School
Ashley Hall High School Military Magnet Academy
Baptist Hill Middle/High School North Charleston High School
Burke Middle/High School Porter-Gaud School
Charleston Charter School for Math and Science School of the Arts
Charleston Collegiate School St. John’s High School
Clark Academy Stall High School
Garrett Academy of Technology Trident Academy
Greg Mathis Charter School Wando High School
James Island Charter High School West Ashley High School
Liberty Hill Academy
Dorchester County
Ashley Ridge High School Pinewood Preparatory School
Dorchester Career and Technology High School Summerville High School
Fort Dorchester High School Woodland High School
The $1,250 scholarship is renewable until a degree is earned, up to three additional years, for a total of $5,000.
In order to be eligible, the student must:
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
- Be a citizen of a the United States
This scholarship is administered by Scholarship Management Services®, a division of Scholarship America®. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.
