Breaking News at Patriots Point - Laffey finds a new home!

Laffey eased away from the Detyen's shipyard facilities on 11 January 2010 at 1300.

Just released on the Patriots Point web site it has been announced that the USS Laffey will be moving to a new berth on Shem Creek. Mount Pleasant town officials are overjoyed at the move of the Laffey to the prominent tourist destination of seafood restaurants located on Shem Creek.

Local restaurant developer To Kayo Rose is planning on arranging to transport restaurant guests across Shem Creek in a bosun's chair from the Laffey to the restaurant of their choice for a nominal fee.

It is recommended to have a drink before, just in case you end up in the drink!
