Congratulations to Patriots Point Employee of the Year Lori Held! Lori is the Operations Administrative Assistant and this was her first year working at Patriots Point. Lori wowed her colleagues by not only exceeding expectations in her current role, but also stepping up to take on more duties and responsibilities.

When the contract with the Yorktown's onboard caterer expired, it was Lori's idea to establish the Geedunk. This is a fresh-food market that does not require a cashier. Lori developed and executed the idea, including interviewing vendors, coordinating the space reconfiguration, and managing the stock and revenue. This snack bar has proven to be an overwhelming success.

When Patriots Point's event coordinator retired, there was a two month gap between his last day and the new coordinator's first day. Lori volunteered to step in for the interim to coordinate and schedule all events taking place at the museum. She received numerous inquiries every day and collaborated with the operations department to ensure the events ran smoothly.

We are lucky to have Lori aboard at Patriots Point and can't wait to see what she tackles next!
