If you planned an event aboard the USS Yorktown in the past eleven years, you likely worked closely with Patriots Point's cheerful Event Coordinator Bobby Kotlowski. He is Patriots Point's go-to guy for weddings, corporate events, movie filming, and more. Bobby is a Vietnam War veteran who retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant Major after 30 years of service.

During his time at Patriots Point, Bobby demonstrated his vast skillset. He started at Patriots Point as a volunteer. He then worked in public safety, museum services, and operations before landing in his current event coordinator role. Bobby was also the volunteer coordinator for six years.

"I think we're all going to miss having Bobby around," said Director of Operations Mike Hastings. "He's an outgoing and dynamic personality who has always been there when it mattered. No matter what he's been asked to do, Bobby has never shied away from taking the reins and making it happen."

"I have enjoyed my time being a part of Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum," said Bobby Kotlowski. "After you have spent the amount of time I have here, you begin to understand that you are not just an employee but a steward of United States history with the responsibility to preserve the museum's stories of courage and sacrifice for future generations. I will certainly miss many of the staff here."

Bobby will officially retire in mid-November.
