Captain's Tour

Learn what life was like for sailors during World War II, Vietnam, and the recovery of the Apollo 8 space capsule while touring areas of the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown that are off-limits to the general public. This tour requires climbing ladders and stairs.

Step aboard the USS Yorktown and journey through its storied past, from World War II to the Vietnam War. Gain a deeper understanding of aircraft carrier operations and hear powerful stories of the brave men who served. Led by expert guides, this tour offers an in-depth look at the museum’s artifacts and exhibits, including:
