Experience radio transmissions that recreate one of the many tense moments aboard a ship, and understand how the USS Laffey served the US Navy during the Cold War.

Are there enemy submarines out there?

Enter the Combat Information Center on the USS Laffey to experience a tense exchange during the Cold War. A dual hologram appears, radio transmissions sound, and radar repeaters show a sweeping motion as they “search” for enemy submarines. In the Combat Information Center, you can experience a brief moment of what it was like for the brave sailors navigating the uncertain waters of the Cold War aboard the USS Laffey.
